To inflate a vinyl pool float:
- Remove the item from the packaging and lay on flat surface
- Locate and pinch the base of the air valves
- Insert air source
- Turn on pump
- Stop inflating once the item feels firm and take care not to over-inflate it
* A variety of air pumps for Inflatables are available at your local pool store. Please visit our Find-A-retailer page to find a store or online source near you.
* Do not over-inflate or poke with sharp objects or surfaces.
A swimming pool inflatable, like items in other industries, have various factors that set them apart and dictate price differences:
- Quality — Seam strength and gauge of vinyl. The heavier the gauge, the stronger the material and the longer the product will last. (Typically 7 to 16 gauge vinyl)
- Testing Procedures — Length of time and resources spent on rigorous testing
- Variety — Multiple colors and designs to choose from
- Features & Benefits — Versatility, built-in beverage holders, permanently bonded dual handles, built-in storage bins, multiple air chambers, perimeter ropes, contoured body, and Boston air valves for added convenience and comfort
Boston Valves are typically found on larger inflatable items. They are oversized air valves with two caps that allow for quick and easy deflation.
To inflate using a Boston Valve:
- Step 1: Twist off the bottom cap and insert your air source. (If needed, wrap a rag or towel around the nozzle to help prevent air from escaping while inflating.)
- Step 2: Inflate to about 90% full, then replace the bottom cap.
- Step 3: Remove the top plug (this plug has an inner membrane to prevent air from escaping).
- Step 4: Inflate to full size, then replace the outer plug.

Quick tips for vinyl patch repairs:
- Patching process works best in warm water.
- Cut the patch just a bit larger than the hole (not too big).
- Cut the patch in a round shape rather than square edges which tend to lift.
- Wipe down the area to be patched with a clean rag.
- Apply glue to the patch and allow it to get “tacky”.
- Fold the tacky sides of the patch together (taco style) so glue will not wash off while going underwater. Do not allow edges to touch.
- Adjust the amount of glue as needed for secure application.
- The patch works by melding with the existing liner. It is not recommended on old, brittle liners. Works excellent on supple liners with small holes.
Each lounge is made of durable and non-corrosive materials. However, prolonged exposure to sunlight and pool chemicals can cause permanent weakening of the product. To extend product enjoyment:
- Remove the product from the pool when not in use.
- Rinse the product off with plain water after each use.
- Store the product in a dry place away from direct sunlight and pool chemicals.
Each floating lounge is designed for comfort. For safety:
- Do not jump on the lounge.
- Avoid rough play.
- Check and tighten all nut and bolt attachments as needed.
- Inspect the lounge seat for wear and tear. Replace if necessary.
- Check the Polyform float for any water leakage. Remove the drain plug to drain water if needed. After draining, reinsert and secure the drain plug using Teflon tape around the threads to tighten the seal.
Testing reagents/solutions are generally good for two years and best kept in a cool dark place for maximum longevity.
The expiration code is read as follows:
- First two digits = Year produced (e.g. 11 = 2011)
- Next two digits = Month produced (e.g. 10 = October)
- Letter (A, B, C, D) = Week of the month (A = 1st week, B = 2nd week, etc.)
Example: 1110B means the reagent was produced the 2nd week of October 2011.
Proposition 65 is a California law known as the Safe Drinking Water and Toxic Enforcement Act. It requires the State of California to publish and maintain a list of chemicals known to cause cancer, birth defects, or other reproductive harm. This list contains over 800 substances found in many common products including food, hardware, toys, and household items.
In compliance with Prop 65 regulations, California manufacturers must provide warnings on products that may expose users to any listed chemicals. You may see the following warning on our products:

Sometimes when replacing a tension-spring handle, the nut that secures the pin may be tightened too much. This can limit the handle from moving freely up and down, reducing the needed tension resistance.
To fix: Try loosening the nut slightly to restore proper spring tension.
